Brittney Carlson, age 28, of Albia, passed away on November 30, 2016, in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was born to Douglas Edward Carlson and Sherry Lea Wells on May 16, 1988, in St. Charles, IL.
She graduated from Markesan High School in Wisconsin, class of 2006. She loved sports, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and being outdoors. She was the life of the party, but also was a person with a huge heart that liked to help others. Brittney’s two daughters, Ava and Jazmin, were her life.
She is survived her daughters, Ava See of Albia, and Jazmin Marie Williams of Albia; father, Doug Carlson of Albia; mother, Sherry Chavez of Arizona; siblings, Kiley Carlson of Albia, Ashley Chavez of Wisconsin, Rainee Rodriguez of Wisconsin, Michael Chavez of Wisconsin, Kenny Chavez of Illinois, Mariah Wells of Illinois, Lake Michels of Wisconsin; grandparents, Blair and Rose Ragan of Albia. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia, with Father Mike Volkmer officiating. Burial will follow services at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Georgetown. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, from 9-11 a.m., with family present at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia.
