OHS student Joe Ferguson, number 25 in the foreground, participates in a boys’ basketball game in 1949.  Ferguson remained in Ottumwa eventually becoming the principal of Ottumwa High School.  He remained local, raising his family here where he still resides with his wife, Toni.
