Obituaries: Marcus McFall

Marcus Charles McFall, age 34, of Centerville, formerly of Albia, died as a result of an automobile accident on Tuesday evening, December 27, 2016. He was born on November 23, 1982 at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, AZ to Mark and Connie (Coleman) McFall.

He graduated from Albia High School, class of 2001. He then attended Indian Hills Community College, earning his degree as a Paramedic Specialist. He then received his Critical Care Paramedic Certification from the University of Iowa. He married Laura Murphy on June 17, 2006. They were blessed with two children, Connor and Mason.

Marcus worked for Midwest Transportation Services in Albia. He enjoyed trapping, hunting, and his yearly duck hunting trips to North Dakota. He was an avid Iowa State Cyclone fan, and he cherished the times he would take his son Connor to Cyclone games. His boys were his life, and he enjoyed being involved in all of their activities.

He is survived by his two sons, Connor and Mason McFall of Albia; parents, Mark and Connie McFall of Centerville; siblings, Lee (Holly) McFall of Russell, Nathan (Sammie) McFall of Oskaloosa, Kyle McFall of Oskaloosa, Jasmine (Trevor) Humphreys of Centerville; nieces and nephews, Paislee, Colton, and Presley; aunts and uncles, James (Juanita) McFall, Stephanie (Larry) Yoder, Terrance McFall, and many cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Bonnie McFall; maternal grandparents, Charles and June Coleman; maternal great grandparents, Eldon and Bessie Baker; and uncle, Gary Coleman.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia with Father Mike Volkmer C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will follow services in Woodlawn Cemetery in Lovilia. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, opening to the public at 1:00 p.m. and Marcus’ family will be present from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday evening.
