Unrelated Call to Wapello County Sheriff’s Department Leads to Burglary Arrest

Wapello County-On Saturday, January 7th, Wapello County Sheriff’s Deputies were responding to a report of a violation of a restraining order.  During their investigation they discovered what they believed to be stolen property from a recent burglary and motor vehicle theft nearby.


As a result of the investigation, Cody Brice Ehrenhard, 37, was charged with Burglary 3rd Degree (Class D Felony), Theft 2nd Degree (Class D Felony), Violation of a Restraining Order (Simple Misdemeanor), and two outstanding warrants for Violation of a Restraining (Simple Misdemeanor) and 2nd Offense Domestic Abuse/Assault (Aggravated Misdemeanor).


Ehrenhard is currently being held in the Wapello County Jail on a $15,000 bond.  The investigation is continuing and additional charges are anticipated.
