Ottumwa Search Warrant Leads to Five Arrests

OTTUMWA-On Friday, January 13, Wapello County Sheriff’s Deputies executed a search warrant at a residential Ottumwa address.  The search took place at 703 Boone Avenue and resulted in the arrest of five individuals.

Kevin Jay Musgrove, 57 of Ottumwa, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) (Two or more previous Convictions) which is a Class D Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) which is a Serious Misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia which is a Simple Misdemeanor.  Musgrove was taken to the Wapello County Jail and has since posted bond.

Amanda Leann Varner, 29 of Batavia, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) (2nd Offense) which is an Aggravated Misdemeanor, Possession of XANAX which is a Serious Misdemeanor, Harassment of Public Officers and Employees which is a Simple Misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia which is also a Simple Misdemeanor.  Varner was taken to the Wapello County Jail and has since posted bond.

Jessica Renea Cron, 25 of Ottumwa, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) which is a Serious Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia which is a Simple Misdemeanor. Cron was taken to Wapello County Jail and has since posted bond.

Darcy Lynn Pettyjohn, 51 of Ottumwa, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) which is a Serious Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia which is a Simple Misdemeanor.  Pettyjohn is being held in the Wapello County Jail on $2,000 bond.

Damon Wayne Lord, 38 of Ottumwa, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Two or more previous Convictions which is a Class D Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) which is a Serious Misdemeanor, Unlawful Possession of a Prescription Drug which is a Serious Misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia which is a Simple Misdemeanor. Lord also had an active Wapello County Warrant for Failure to Appear.  He is being held in the Wapello County Jail on $5,000 bond.
