Obituaries: Dale Potter

CENTERVILLE – Wallace Dale Potter Jr., 57, of Washington, IA and formerly of Centerville, went to be with the Lord at 4:41 a.m. February 25, 2017 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

He was born October 27, 1959 in Long Beach, CA to Wallace Dale Potter and Patricia Wilson.

Having attended school in New Jersey, Dale worked in construction, painting and concrete, having worked for Jim Gardner.

He was a good baseball player and loved sports especially the Chicago Cubs and the Dallas Cowboys.  He also loved Elvis, Doberman Pinschers and spending time with his daughters.

Surviving are three daughters, Samantha O’Hair of Bloomfield, Savannah O’Hair of Ottumwa and Sara Blew of Centerville; three grandchildren, Rydale, Faith and Lenox; his mother, Patricia Crosson of Centerville; three brothers, Al, Jody and Dawson Crosson all of Centerville; a sister, Dee Dee Crosson of Medford, OR; aunts and uncle, Gloria Driver, Marie and Cliff Derosier; three cousins, Tim, Rich and Tammy Driver; good friends, Paul Barnes and Pam Shell Cloyd.

He was preceded in death by his father; his companion, Debbie O’Hair; grandparents, William and Doris Exter.

His body has been cremated.  No services are planned.
