Mavis Nadine Richmond, 76, of Moulton, Iowa passed away March 10, 2017 at her home. She was born June 21, 1940 in Davis County, Iowa to Ralph C. and Wilma M. Starr Mitchell. She married Henry Louis Richmond September 5, 1969 in Lubbock, Texas. He passed away August 11, 2009. Nadine was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her three daughters, Renee Larson of Bloomfield, Iowa, Denee Almy of Moulton, Lauretta (Miles) Johnston of Vancouver, Washington; son, Joel (Carrie) Richmond of Blakesburg, Iowa; 10 grandchildren, Carl Larson, Floyd (Amy) Larson, Robert (Sarah) Howard, Lawrence (Laura) Howard, Telina (Casey) Almy, Jason Almy, Randie Richmond, Ryan Richmond, Adeline Johnston, Clara Johnston; 12 great-grandchildren, Daniel, Caitlin, Christa, Little Lawrence, Callie, Jacob, Christopher, Noah, Cassandra, Baby Casey, Maggie, Megan; brother, Gerald (Fern) Mitchell; sister-in-law, Jean Mitchell; and nieces and nephews, Cody, Jessie, and Teresa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, James Mitchell; and three nephews, Danny Mitchell, Sammy Mitchell, and Junior Jarvis.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield. The family will be present to greet friends from 6-8:00 p.m. that evening.
To allow time for family members to travel to Iowa, graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Burgher Cemetery in Davis County with Bill Eakins officiating.
Following graveside services, a meal will be held at the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield.
A memorial has been established to the family.
