April 2017 Reminisce Society with Ottumwa Public Library

OTTUMWA-For our April Reminisce Society we will be hosting Rosemary Harris as she portrays one of Iowa’s women of history. Ola Babcock Miller established the Iowa State Patrol when she was Iowa’s first woman to serve as Secretary of State.

 

Join us April 25th to learn more about “The Mother of the Iowa Highway Patrol” and her groundbreaking tenure as Secretary of State. The presentation will be held at the KC Hall (behind the library) and will begin at 10 am.

 

Harris is from Columbus Junction, IA and is a former teacher.  She travels the state and portraying many different women from throughout Iowa’s history.
