Weekend Robbery in Ottumwa Leads to Arrest

OTTUMWA-On Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 11:30 pm, the Ottumwa Police Department responded to the BP Station located at 533 N. Jefferson on a report of a robbery that had just taken place.  The clerk reported two persons entered the store with their identities concealed.  One person displayed a handgun and demanded money while the other person stole items from the store.


The suspects fled the store and the clerk was unharmed.  Police located one suspect a short distance away from the station.


As a result of the investigation, police have arrested Zachary Paige Mallonee, age 18, of Ottumwa.  Mallonee has been charged with Robbery 1st Degree, a Class “B” Felony.
