JBS Employees Help United Way with Big Donation

OTTUMWA-The United Way of Wapello County was able to raise over $40,000 thanks to the employees of JBS.

“The United Way of Wapello County’s programs or funded initiatives improved the lives of over 11,000 people in Wapello County last year alone. We can’t continue to have that kind of impact without the community’s help. JBS employees gave over $40,000 during their United Way campaign. We are incredibly grateful for their support!” stated Blaire Siems, Executive Director and CEO of the United Way of Wapello County.

JBS is the largest employer in Wapello County with 2,200 team members representing 34 countries. The plant produces more than 9 million 8-ounce servings of pork per day and more than 1 billion pounds per year.
