Obituaries: Brian Henry

OTTUMWA-Brian Michael Henry, 58, of 714 Wildwood Dr., died July 6, 2017 at home.

He was born June 9, 1959 in Ottumwa to Virgil J. “Joe” and Maxine Daffone Pierce Henry.  He married Helen June McFarland on October 20, 1978.

Brian was a 1977 graduate of Ottumwa High School, and earned a degree in Robotics Automation from Indian Hills Community College. He had worked at Ajinomoto for 3 years, and then worked for Bivona in Hobart, IN, Dura Automotive in West Union, Rubbermaid in Centerville and for the past 10 years at John Deere Ottumwa Works.

Brian was a “gear head” working with classic cars and also enjoyed woodworking and drawing.

Surviving is his wife, Helen; a daughter Quinci Nicole Henry; an aunt, Marilyn (Bruce) Allen of Ottumwa and a niece, Crystal Dawn Walker.

He was preceded in death by  his parents; brother, Bruce Henry and niece, Misty Lynn Henry.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Matthews officiating.  Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017 with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the family for his daughter’s education.
