Moravia Man Arrested for Stalking Famous Actress

Terry Lee Repp, 45, Moravia

Tampa, FL-Florida law enforcement have arrested an Iowa man for stalking a famous Hollywood actress at the Tampa Bay Comic Con this past weekend.

A criminal report affidavit from Hillsborough County, Florida, shows that Terry Lee Repp, 45, of 901 Pamela Street, Moravia, Iowa was arrested inside the Tampa Bay Comic Con at approximately 09:30AM on Saturday, July 29th by Officers from the Tampa Police Department.  Repp is charged with Stalking, Following, Harassing, or Cyberstalking Another which is a misdemeanor.

Repp’s alleged victim is actress Kate Beckinsale.  The 44-year-old English actress is perhaps best known for her lead role in the Underworld movie series.  Beckinsale was appearing at Comic Con to take part in a panel discussion.  However, when Repp was spotted in attendance, the panel was put on hold until he could be apprehended because he has a long history of following the actress around the country.

An excerpt from the criminal report reads, “On the listed date time the defendant was found inside the Tampa Convention Center during the 2017 Comic Con Event.  The defendant has a history of following and harassing the victim and came to Tampa, FL in an effort to continue the harassing behavior.  The defendant made physical contact with the victim during an event in Salt Lake City, UT in 2016.  During this encounter the defendant touched the victim’s back and made a statement to the victim in reference to stabbing her.  In a continuing effort to harass the victim, the defendant also traveled to Houston, TX in 2016 where the victim was attending an event.  The defendant was detained by the Houston Police Department and trespassed from the event.  The defendant appears to have an irrational obsession with the victim and has traveled across the country in an effort to harass her.  The defendant’s actions have caused the victim substantial emotional distress and caused her to fear for her safety.”

Police had apparently been made aware of Repp and were on the lookout for him because of his past disturbing behavior.  The criminal report states that Repp’s identity was confirmed through his Iowa Driver’s License.  Although Repp has past disturbing behavior involving Beckinsale, a search of online court records from Iowa shows nothing more than a past speeding ticket.

Repp is being held at the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office on $500 cash-only bail.
