Hoof Farms Sweeps Away the Competition with Biggest Ram

DES MOINES-A Suffolk Cross ram named Big Billy owned by Hoof Farms of Villisca, Iowa tipped the scales at 397 pounds to win the Big Ram title at the 2017 Iowa State Fair.

Second place was claimed by Seelow Sheep Farm of State Center, Iowa. Their Rambouillet ram named Maynard weighed in at 385 pounds.

The 2017 Iowa State Fair Big Ram show had seven entries.

The Big Ram, along with the Big Boar and Super Bull, will be on display at the Iowa State Fair in the Sheep, Swine and Cattle Barns, respectively, through August 20.
