Free Flag Disposal Event May 19th

OTTUMWA-Do you have a U. S. or State Flag that needs to be disposed of properly?  This is the 16th year that The Wapello County Republicans are providing this service to the community.  To respectfully dispose of your Flag that is no longer suitable for flying.  Be ready with a new flag for Memorial Day.

 

Since many of us are flying our flags daily, we need to be sure that they are in good shape.  If you have a flag that is tattered or torn bring it to the:

Saturday, May 19, 2018    *  8:00 AM to 11:00 AM

 

Even if you don’t have a flag to dispose of, be sure to come see the “History of Old Glory”.  We will have some of the Park Sullivan Flag Collection, from the original 13 Star Flag and including the official Flag when Iowa became a state, on display.

 

Those who dispose of flags will receive a discount coupon to replace their flag.  Also, names will be entered in a drawing for an Iowa Flag flown over Iowa Capital.
