The family requests memorials be made to The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for organ transplant research in lieu of flowers.
She was born March 19, 1960, the daughter of Laverne and Marie (Bolin) Baker. On June 6, 1987, she was united in marriage to her best friend Jon Moore in Bloomfield, Iowa.
She was a member of the Sherman Chapel Church. She graduated from Davis County High School in 1978 and attended Indian Hills Community College. She worked at Cooper’s Corner in Chillicothe, Iowa with her sister for 15 years before dedicating her life to caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and friends.
Tess’ life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile and caring ways brought so much joy to her family.
She is survived by her husband, Jon; four children, Aaron (Kristen) Moore of Blue Springs, Missouri, Jennifer (Clint) Huggins of Las Vegas, Nevada, Eric Moore of Breckenridge, Missouri and Emily Moore of Humphreys, Missouri; five grandchildren; Rien, Owen, and Carson Moore, Sutton and Finley Huggins, two sisters, Trudy (Bob) Majors of Albia, Iowa and Tammy Deevers of Albia, Iowa; and a brother, Tracy (Joann) Baker of Ottumwa, Iowa and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Treva Cox.
She will be dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace.
