On August 3, 2018, three armed men forced their way into a residence at 831 South Lillian in Ottumwa, and stole items from the residents. One person at the home was shot. The three armed men then fled the scene on foot, and were involved in a shootout with police near Liberty Elementary School. Michael Paul Bibby and Dalton Cook were previously charged with burglary, robbery, and attempted murder for their roles in the incidents.
The continuing investigation into this incident has determined that Tiffany Kay McNeal, 36, of Ottumwa was involved in the planning and execution of the robbery at 831 South Lillian. As a result, Tiffany McNeal has been charged with and arrested for:
Burglary in the First Degree, a Class B Felony
Robbery in the First Degree, a Class B Felony
Attempt to Commit Murder, a Class B Felony.
Bond for Tiffany McNeal has been set at $75,000 cash only.
