OTTUMWA – The Ottumwa Area Community Chorus is presenting their fall concert entitled “A Million Dreams” this Friday, November 9th at 7:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Ottumwa. The concert will feature African-American spirituals and songs from south Africa, as well as selected songs from “The Greatest Showman”.
A children’s chorus with 32 members and an adult chorus with 31 members will be performing in this concert. Both choirs are a wonderful mix of different cultures and ethnicity, and the singers range from age 6 through 85. The children will be singing two songs in African with choreography, in addition to singing a few songs with the adult chorus.
Professional African drummers will also be performing with the choruses, as well as David Sharp of IHCC.
Admission is free, and there will be a reception following the concert.
