Wanda Joyce Graham, 90, passed away at 2:15 a.m. November 30, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society, Ottumwa, Iowa.
A life-long resident of Ottumwa, Wanda was born July 13, 1928, to Charles Felix Graham and Madge Viola Patsey. As a child she was recognized for not missing one day of school. During high school she was a member of the “Hi-Tri” Club, an organization devoted to developing the “Women of Tomorrow.” After graduating from Ottumwa High School in 1946, Wanda worked for 17 years at the Ottumwa Y.M.C.A. Up to the age of 80, she was employed as a switchboard operator at SEIDA Community Action Center. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Order of Eastern Star Rose Chapter and Wapello White Shrine #4. Throughout her adult life she was a caregiver and constant companion to her beloved sister Beverly. She had many friends in Ottumwa and all around the United States.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her older brothers, Charles Felix, Jr. and John “Jack” Keith and a sister, Donna Evans.
Left to mourn are her sister, Beverly Joanne of Ottumwa, several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Skinner officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the family present from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.
