Ottumwa Bulldogs Archery Tournament Results

The Ottumwa Bulldogs Archery Team participated in the 2018/19 Iowa Winter Games NASP Archery Bullseye Competition in Eddyville on December 8, 2018, coming home with team and individual awards. Evans Middle School and Ottumwa High School teams each placed 2nd in their respective divisions. Individual High School archers receiving medals included Thatcher Pierson 1st Place, Jeffery Shauman 2nd Place, and Michaela-Ann Schlechter 3rd place. Evans Middle School archers receiving medals included Ty Tucker 1st Place and Alondra Huisinga 1st Place.

All age level teams received awards in 3-D Competition at the Winter Games, Ottumwa High School 2nd Place, Evans Middle School 2nd Place, and Liberty Elementary 3rd Place. Individual archers receiving medals included OHS archer,  Jeff Shauman 1st Place; Evans archers, Ty Tucker 2nd Place and  Erinne Mendibles 3rd Place and  Liberty archer  Nicholas Swope 3rd Place.

December 16 was the first home tournament held by Ottumwa Bulldogs Archery with Evans Middle School team placing 3rd, and Ottumwa High School placed 4th in Bullseye Competition. Individual archers receiving medals included Ty Tucker 4th Place, Evans Middle School; and OHS archers Thatcher Pierson 1st Place, Jeffery Shauman 3rd Place; and Michaela-Ann Schlechter 3rd Place.

In 3-D Competition on December 16 team awards went to Liberty Elementary 3rd Place, Evans Middle School 3rd Place, and Ottumwa High School 3rd Place. Individual archers receiving medals included Evans Middle School archers,  Alondra Huisinga 4th Place,  William Miller 2nd Place, and Ty Tucker 4th Place; Ottumwa High School archers, Thatcher Pierson 4th Place, and Brittany Vandenburg 6th Place.

Many of the new and returning archers have been setting Career high scores at each competition. Coaches of the group are proud of the archers and appreciate the support of the parents and the Ottumwa Community School District. The Ottumwa Archery Team will participate in weekly competitions throughout the State of Iowa January through March.
