Cardinal Shooting Comets Archers Hit the Mark at State Competition

The Cardinal Shooting Comets shot at the State Tournament in Des Moines this past Saturday, where there were over 1900 archers shooting in the two days at the State tournament.

 

From those archers the Comets Paiden Rupe was crowned Champion in 3D targets and Bullseye Targets.  Paiden shot a 273 for 1st place in 3D and 285 for 1st place in Bullseye.

Besides Paiden Rupe, the following placed in the top ten as individuals.

Autumn Sertterh shot a 255 and placed 2nd in State.

Makayla Barnes shot a 254 for 3rd place in State.

Joel Carman placed 9th with a 246

Emma Short placed 7th with a score of 242.

 

The Cardinal Elementary Archers took home the Championship for 3D Targets.  Members of the team are Paiden Rupe, Autumn Seretterh, Makayla Barnes, Joel Carman, Emma Short, Dawson Elliott, Caleb Farfan, Kenna Kirkpatrick, Deagon Eakins, Konnar Mason, Sidney Countryman, and Sara Breeding.

 

The Cardinal Middle School team finished in 4th place out of 15 middle school teams.  The team members are Montana Rupe, Ethan Ragen, Karson Kirkpatrick, Luke Enloe, Paityn Carnes, Layne Pottorff, Cassidy Brown, Haylee Fountain, Cameron Wheaton, Garrett Porter, Lauren Sloan and Curtis Brown.

 

Placing in the top ten for the Cardinal Middle School as individuals were:

 

Montana Rupe placed 4th in State with a score of 283

Ethan Ragen placed 11th with a score of 275.

 

The Cardinal High School team placed 7th out of 17 teams.  Team members are Jacob Stitles, Triston Brown, Brodie Mairet, Kaylyn Sallee, Kristian Sanders, Danielle Jameson, Jenika Corder, Jarrett Rea, Michael Mullikin, Austin McClure, Morgan Rupe, and Randy Short.

 

We didn’t have as much success this year in the Bullseye Targets but Paiden Rupe placed 1st in Elementary with a 285 and  Makayla Barnes placed 4th with a 271.

The Elementary Team will be off to the National Tournament in Louisville Kentucky in May.
