Evans Students Compete in National History Day Competition

OTTUMWA— Eight students from Evans Middle School competed in the National History Day competition at Indian Hills Community College on April 5. This year’s theme was Triumph & Tragedy in History.

Students and their projects included:  Allen Cook, “Overcoming the Tragedy of Small Pox”; Hailey Garrison, Chloe Davis, and Beverly Bishop, “Triumph of Galileo,” and Yuleni Curiel, Citlalli Cruz, Angele Maldonado, and Ashley Gomez, “Tragedy of the Salem Witch Trials.”  All Students are part of the district’s Talented and Gifted program.
