OHS Students Attend iJAG Conference

OTTUMWA— Two of Ottumwa High School students who attend the school’s ACA program earned medals at the annual iJAG Career Development Conference recently.

Several iJAG students throughout Iowa attended a career development conference where they competed in a variety of events.  Some of these categories included interviewing for a job, giving a speech, presenting a class banner and art expression. The ACA students really shined in the math and the presentation of class project competitions.

Yesenia Millhouse earned a silver medal in math, out of 20 competitors. Brandon Knotts earned a gold medal for his presentation of a flag that his class designed, out of 35 other entries

Both students will compete at the regional competition in Kansas City in June where they will compete against iJAG winners from five surrounding states.
