OTTUMWA – The City of Ottumwa issued a press release May 30th stating the campground would accommodate citizens displaced by flooding at no charge. Since that time, the river has receded, and most of those directly affected by the floods have returned to their homes, or made accommodations. In order to keep the campground open and operating, while accommodating upcoming community events, the City of Ottumwa will begin charging our regular campground fees, beginning Sunday the 16th at 4:00 pm for anyone utilizing the campground.
As an alternative, the tractor pull area located in the northwest corner of the campground can be utilized based on available space. Please note, there are no water, or electrical hookups at the tractor pull area.
