OTTUMWA— The Wilson Elementary School Parent Teacher Association is sponsoring a free community event celebrating Black History Month. The event, Black History Festival, will be held on Sunday, February 16 from 2-5 p.m. in the Ottumwa High School cafeteria.
The event will feature music, displays, and food. Many community guests will set up displays to bring cultural awareness and an understanding of the history and contributions of the African American. There will also be two exhibits from the African American Museum of Iowa.
Food will be available for purchase from Warehouse Barbecue.
