Miftari Display at IHCC February 25th

OTTUMWA – Arjete Miftari, an award-winning artist and sculptor from Kosovo, will be displaying her artwork on the Indian Hills Community College Ottumwa campus on Tuesday, Feb. 25.  Miftari’s work can be viewed from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Formal Lounge, outside the IHCC Library.

Described as a “futuristic artist,” Miftari has produced national sculpture displays and modern and traditional paintings which have been promoted locally and internationally.  She has begun carving exclusively, sourcing stone from all around the world.  Her primary objective is to bring the natural beauty and energy of stone to the forefront.  Consequently, her sculptures have unique characteristics due to each stone’s geological history and geographical source.

Indian Hills staff and students and residents of Ottumwa and the surrounding area are invited to view Miftari’s work on the IHCC campus.
