Wapello County, Iowa – This week, members of the Iowa National Guard began delivering semis of medical personal protective equipment to Iowa counties. If you see National Guard members, they are providing logistical support for communities during the COVID-19 outbreak. Iowa National Guard COVID-19 response missions include but are not limited to:
Manning call centers
Providing critical Personal Protective Equipment
Supporting local emergency management agencies with response planning and implementation
Residents will continue to see continued mission support from the Iowa National Guard. The Governor has not issued shelter-in-place orders for Iowa communities.
