Ottumwa Schools Online Registration Now Open

OTTUMWA— Ottumwa Schools has opened their online registration process for all returning students beginning on Wednesday, July 22 through August 7. This is for students in grades 1-12 for the 2020-21 school year. To register, parents will need to access their PowerSchool parent account using a web browser on a desktop, laptop, tablet or phone.  After logging on, please click on the “forms” icon to complete the registration process. The PowerSchool parent portal can be found at: Parents seeking assistance can use the help line or view instructions, both found on the district’s website under Parents, then select Registration.

New student registration will be completed online from August 1 – 14 for grades 1-12. Parents will need to provide proof of age and legal name for each student (birth certificate, Social Security card or other legal document), proof of residency (lease agreement, utility bill, etc.)  and immunizations. Copies or photos of these documents can be uploaded through the online registration process or dropped off at your child’s school August 6-14. Check the website for instructions.

Kindergarten registration was held in March. Students who missed this registration opportunity may contact their elementary school for registration details beginning August 6.

Registration for three- and four-year-old children to attend Pickwick Early Childhood Center was held in the spring. Students may continue to register until all openings are full. Parents need to provide proof of age and income. For more information, contact the preschool office at 641-684-7179 to schedule a registration interview.

Ottumwa Schools will also offer a virtual online option for parents with concerns about sending their child back to school due to COVID-19. Parents can find the application link on the district’s website under Parents, Registration, then clicking the Bulldog Virtual Learning link on the left navigation.
